I can confirm that courting and marriage works with the custom furry races.
There is one (non-gamebreaking) issue that comes with Warband not by default expecting female NPCs to be lords, and that is breaking the family definitions. Each noble upon a new game start gets a family where the game randomly picks other nobility from the same faction to be fathers, sons, brothers, sisters, daughters, mothers, cousins, grandfathers, grandmothers and so on. This works in Native, but since in this mod I have a number of female lords, this breaks the definitions in such a way that they are sisters might be called brothers, and so on. The female nobles also have a wife, unintentionally, as the game doesn't really recognize the position of a male as the spouse of a female lord.
It all works in gameplay, though. And as I'm not sure how to fix this, it may be something that one just has to live with.

It gladdens the heart that there are lurkers who care.
