98.9% is such a ridiculous disparity, it's literally 11/1000 men being straight. Unless you have a similar disparity on number of men to number of women or a harem society (ick, but artificially changes male/female ratio). If you had 50/50 male/female births and a monogamous society every 2000 births you'd have ~989 women either struggling with a homosexual male or without a partner to begin with, most likely loveless either way.
This situation is so catastrophically bad it makes the generic "Anthrostate" look like a genuinely good alternative. At least with the anthrostate they tended to only go up to 40/60 male/female ratio which would mean that 1/3rd of all women wouldn't have the opportunity of monogamous heterosexual relationship instead of maybe 1% of women.
There'd be so many dead Anthro women... Men in today's society are born at a rate of 51/49 male/female, and holy shit is it bad enough as it is (51/49 means ~1/23 men do not have a female counterpart). The only reason there are more women ALIVE is that men die young often enough to counter the increased birthrate.
I'd break. I'd go insane, I do not want to see such suffering, at least war has some form of solution.
