Almost five months later, I went back up north to see my land again yesterday. It's a little drier now but surprisingly cool still. The fields are so full of the famed poppies and other wildflowers that grow here. And the air is so fresh. Wikipedia says you can apparently make a syrup from these poppies. The Joshua trees in the area are also fruiting. In short: it's spring! Based on observation, theft shouldn't be a concern here, though I'll still cache things underground to be safe. It's so calm out there, so peaceful. There isn't the constant background noise of planes and cars and fireworks and sirens and gunshots and some party a block away blasting their music or faggots who think we all want to hear their shitty engines. There isn't the smog and that perpetual feeling of being watched or within earshot of someone by virtue of there always being at least one person within a ten meter radius or less. I think I'm starting to realize none of that's really normal. I haven't felt peace like that in a while. Oh, and we spotted a big hare. So there's definitely food out there.

I don't know. I still haven't tried it.
