Stuff her in a clothes dryer. Watch the angry cartoon eyes spinning through the little window for an hour. Open the door and retrieve the resulting very unhappy spherical fluffball.

I don’t remember her actually ever crushing on anyone in the story. The contraria sections are usually the weakest imo.

Really all the others are fine the contraria ones are just the weak link. I haven’t read the newest ones just a bit after that girl killed herself but every time is yup she’s rich, spoiled, powerful, etc her only character flaw is she’s mean and thinks too highly of herself but it never comes back to bite her. I also couldn’t really care about the mob politics because every time it’s touched upon it’s “yep they’re invincible morons there’s nothing you can do about it”. She’s a fine antagonist as is but as one of the story’s protagonists I can smell things along the lines of “marry sue” or “author’s darling” where she never grows, changes, or is challenged.

You're valid to feel that way really. I want to tell a lot in ASIS and its kinda hard to do that in a more linear sense. Mob stuff is separate from the school stuff but they're connected, same with more outside stuff like the family, home life side of things but they're all in a way "seperate". Characters are also connected with one another but sometimes it's not really directly shown or apparent because they're supposed to be "seperate" but a story like Ethan's only works with a foil like Contraria. I never intended for her to be a mary sue but the way her world is just makes her seem like one really. A lot of her confrontations with others are just one-sided bouts that always ends with her on top, whether be because of her own strength, but it's mostly because of the status and legacy behind her. She's probably insecure by that fact I guess, living life on easy mode, but deep down she kinda accepts it and plays into her role as pooch bully despite it. It's hard for me to talk about my story without it clouding the lens of interpretation that I kinda wrote it to have.

>>128711
She isn’t a bad part of the story it’s the fact the story follows her pov that makes her boring. An unstoppable mob boss is a great antagonist to a story but they’re only worth following as a protagonist if there’s some depth. For example in it’s current state I feel the contraria segments could be cut and if exposition about her and the mob was given via the other characters pov it would be a better story, she doesn’t change at all we just wouldn’t follow her. If you want to keep her as a protagonist I feel you have to do something with her she needs a goal or challenge of some kind to overcome.
