First, it's more or less the other way around. Source: it occurred to me.
Secondly, the majority of any fandom are the silent consumers. Kind of like dark matter accounts for the majority of matter in the universe (as per the current model) but we hardly knowingly interact with it. Anyhow, unless you are in a group/forum/board that specifically caters to something like diaperfur you are surrounded by people who are looking for - or have found - "the comfy part" in that particular place. A minority of actual users will actively partake in conversation and then even a smaller fraction would be creating content or otherwise partake in ways that steer or define the community.

Pretending that whatever "jailhouse gay" (whatever that is) is a larger part of it than the "comfy part" is like saying that an average person who has metal music in their commute playlist looks like one of the guys from KISS.

My experience is that it's very much the other way around. Any "furry" or "anthro" site, imageboard, or forum that doesn't have rules against l*li and sh*ta, and gatekeep HARD, instantly gets overrun with toddlerkon futa diaper hard vore guro torture scat rape stuff. When people who are enthusiastic about that kind of material are allowed to get a foothold, anyone who objects will be instantly shouted down. "Drawings aren't real" and "hey guys check out this moralfag," and "leave if you don't like it" (especially funny when they're saying it to someone who was there first), and so on. If you have the poor fortune to be using a site requiring an ID to log in, you could even get doxed.

Places like this are so rare as to be precious beyond price.

Okay admittedly I haven't really checked the rules of a website for their policies on imagery of pooping feral kids, always assuming that those who are into it know better than to bring their interests to light of public outside of spaces specifically designed for such things, which may explain not having witnessed a place being overrun by those.
Haven't seen them here, or them getting chased away from here either (aside from the Disaster Fox incident half a year back, which may or may not have been uncalled for; afaik the comic itself is sfw, though the artist does draw them weird-like, but he's Japanese and who knows how they think).
The one imageboard that allows all sorts of content that comes to mind has its share of people i don't likeerate spammers that fit the profile in the OP but even their posts are a minority among random banter and milder people i don't likeeracies.

I'd also raise e6 as an example, where getting a blacklist warning seems to be rare enough — and they seem to be very anal about their tags and blacklists too, because if I'm reading it right they have put a black mark on at least one 19th century drawing of kittens by Theophile Steinlen?
Either way, getting a pee warning when viewing an artist seems to be rare; maybe I'm just looking at the wrong (or right?) artists? You'd think a den of scum and villainy would have more feces
Then again, their "popular" page is mostly body horror and yet they have Averi as a persona non grata, so what do they know.
