Probably remain in sight of her and back away a bit, maybe take a seat in the snow and attempt to establish verbal communication.
I mean, i keep a firearm on me when out walking inna woods and what have you, so i'd probably keep it holstered unless she charges. If for whatever reason i have a longarm, i'd put my hands on the buttstock in a nonthreatening manner.
Even though she's an anthro woman with her children, i'd probably ask her where she got a sword, maaayybeee i'd realize that that's not a very pertinent question and attempt a more important one like "What the heck are you doing out here by yourself like this? With Children none the less!" Though i might just make a decent amount of surprised sounds and shocked faces at her. Like ":O" and such.
