Samoans are very violent, very rapey, and, in the aggregate, if we are talking about averages and general tendencies, not the sharpest knives in the drawer.  In Hawaii they are mostly kept away from the tourist areas, but large numbers of them were imported as agricultural labor once upon a time, their descendants colonized the place, and they have formed ethnic enclaves.  They practice ethnic gangsterism in conscious imitation of 1990s gangsta rap music videos and you do NOT want to be in a Samoan 'hood after dark if you're not ethnically Samoan yourself.  They hate haoles, native Hawaiians, Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans about equally.

They do tend to be very physically fit and physically imposing.  Military acquaintances tell me that they can be excellent infantrymen, but you have to keep them away from booze and dope.
