Pretty much. "Le press and le politician say muh Russia bad. They always lie, so muh Russia must be le good! Muh based and trad Russia will save us all from muh globohomo!"
On the one hand, a government and a press corps that have spent generations telling so many preposterous lies about everything every single day that a growing segment of the public has decided to invert everything they've ever been told, must take the blame for bringing about this state of affairs.
On the other hand, Jesus Christ, read a book. All of Russia's neighbors have always hated and feared them, for excellent historical reasons. These are Osties saying this. Did none of these people have an uncle or a cousin or a brother or a parent "disappeared" and buried in an unmarked grave by the Stasi, on Russian orders? Not one, in generations of brutal occupation, that took place within living memory? Has none of these people ever spoken to a Finn, or a Pole, or a Latvian? Or is it just that their hatred of the Greens and the CDP outweighs everything else, and anyway books are boring?
Honk honk.
