What are some good places to get ears, tails? Amazon just has cheap flimsy stuff.

If you want good quality anything make it yourself.
Or do a commission to some craftsman

Well, I live in the US so European cars are generally not a good idea due to parts availability and cost and whatnot, so I guess not. That's about all I know regarding cars by the way. Toyota and Honda are S-tier here. Avoid everything else. That's the advice I'll operate by if I ever decide I do need to own a car. With all that said, if you were asking if I'd fuck the car, yeah, sure. A tailpipe's a tailpipe to me.

So much for free trade! Apparently some cars like Suzuki Jimny aren't even allowed to be driven on roads unless you exploit some loopholes when importing one or something.
Toyotas and Hondas offer more than enough though. Idk what the prices are like but if strapped for cash I wouldn't discount 20+ year old cars from non-humid states. They are tired by now but, if not rusted, are easier to keep running. It helps having a car freak rl friend who'd know where to look when inspecting.
Surprised to find an American without a car, every other guy I talk to laments the forced reliance on cars, one even has to take a 50 minute drive in order to get his groceries. None of them live in high-rise areas though.

Those older dusters, orange or otherwise, are generally reliable and used to be relatively cheap, but the interior looked so destitute that even the Romanians working on the assembly line saw nothing worth stealing.
Afaik the modern version (not pictured) has received improved looks and interior but has also, like, doubled in price which makes it less desirable as a poorfag/beater drive for rural areas.

Yes, perfect.

But not impossible.
I'm sure if you won't be a lazy little fvck, spend like a day on watching various ytube guides, do one or two tries and on the third you'll get a decent market-level result. And moreover you'll get exactly what you want and a permanent skill.

I'd describe the city I live in as "semi-walkable", to use nigger faggot terms. Transit's not quite at NYC's level, but it works in most cases... if you don't value your time, which I do, but I need to get around infrequently enough that it is still a cost I consider lesser than the cost of owning a car. E-bikes should fill the gaps and an increasing amount of people are beginning to realize this, but I'll admit I'm not quite comfortable riding one amidst all the cars quite yet. If I really need to get somewhere quickly, rideshare costs more than owning a car per unit of distance, sure, but -- again -- given how infrequently this is a necessity for me, it still ends up costing less than owning a car per month. If I ever really need full control over a car, I've reasoned that, by similar math, I can just rent one for the short period of time I'll need it for.
The rural area I've my eyes on I should still be able to get by on with just a dirtbike given that everything's unpaved and law enforcement's rather lax anyhow. But we'll see how that plays out.
One thing I can admire about the third world is their general adoption of two-wheelers over cars. If ever they should crawl out of their situation, I reckon that's at least the one thing they should keep the same.
