It's just good visual storytelling. He has 1 frame to set up the story before anyone even talks.
Also note all the other tricks that are used to drive the point further.
>the human is a neckbeard, overweight, wears glasses, has a potato-shaped chin, unflattering stubble, a stark nasolabial fold, and an ear ring
>hunched over pose and defeated looks
>Suki towers over him
>the anthro has no shoulders, also wears glasses, is a smoker, has some kind of lgbt or rasta bracelet
>arguably the hippie haircut contributes too but it looks well-maintained
>both are wearing basic casual outfits
Just missing sweat stains and cargo shorts. Compare them to the gary stu who is well-groomed, does not wear glasses, is always dressed sharp, does not smoke, is tall(er than Suki) and fit.

His literary game is not as smooth. Even if we omit her jumping to the conclusion that the neckbeard is looking for "help", Suki still calls human girls "ordinary", which implies that anthros are not (i.e. extraordinary).

The comic as a whole is apparently based on the scene with the bum from American Psycho, which actually makes it even worse because Bateman feigns kindness and then stabs the bum and kicks his dog.

Most certainly. It's a broader issue that affects the society as a whole; it's just that the comic itself stabs at hmofa and amofh side of the equation in particular.

>Also, while we are at it, the divorce rates in Russia are 73%. Seventy three percent.
No! It's propaganda! Muh heckin based Putin and muh heckin based Orthodox Patriarchate culture are gonna defeat muh globohomo and save civilization!

...now go look up Russian statistics on alcoholism, drug addiction, AIDS, and violent crime, and reliable proxies for them, like rates of children born with fetal alcohol syndrome. Read the official figures the Russian government publishes, and consider how likely it is that the people writing the official reports don't have a lackey squad from the FSB holding them at gunpoint the whole time to make sure they don't say anything that could be perceived as "discrediting the Russian government," which is an actual on-the-books crime there that can, and does, get people disappeared and gulag'd. Don't worry, muh heckin based Russia, a nation completely free of corruption and led by idealists who pursue justice above all other aims, will save us all, any day now. Yup. Real soon now. Just you wait.

Every time we do something fun and pleasurable like touching fluffy tail our brain releases dopamine and oxytocin which makes us feel good and excited. But if we keep repeating the same thing over and over our brain gets used to it and no longer releases dopamine unless we do something much more exciting than that. This is same thing which jannoids experience during the power trip phase.

15-20 days- This is the stage during which they engage in actual judicious moderating. It involves lots of lurking, watching the catalog, legitposting and filling in reports. They find new posts to moderate by browsing the board, ban people and move on to the next thread. This feels good to them for a while until it starts becoming boring and monotonous.

20-100 days- Sick and tired of engaging in actual moderating, jannoid starts experimenting with banning posts they they just don't like or wish they'd come up with themselves. They invite their Discovery Channel friends to their livestreams and host janitor parties where they engage in various kinds of powertripping like picking random posts to issue warnings for, banning people for having pink IDs, drinking after every ban etc. Then they usually get drunk and engage in lackeying.

100-3000 years - After the previous stage stops being fun, jannoids move on to the ultimate level of the powertrip — indiscriminate ban level. At this stage their genitalia are no longer excited by moderation, they feel the need to be delete entire threads

Man, why cant furries into fish? Fish anthros done right by furries seem to be few and far between but are really easily done well by people outside our sphere. Most seem to just want to stick to generic anthro sensibilities while making the 'fish' aspect an afterthought. I kind of want to design my own anthro fish girl to see if i can do any better
